She has been actively involved in The Arc of the United States, an organization that advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jamie Brewer rose to fame through her roles in American Horror Story, where she played different characters in several seasons.

She also played Shelly in Cherry (2021), Rose in Station 19 (2020), and Amanda in Southland (2013).

Jamie Brewer was the first woman with Down syndrome to walk the runway at New York Fashion Week. She is considered an inspiration for inclusion and diversity in the entertainment industry.
